Born and raised in Brooklyn, New York. Always an artist.
My mother says I started drawing as soon as I could hold a crayon. I remember being totally absorbed with drawing by kindergarten.
I started art classes at 8, and I haven’t stopped making art since!
I’ve studied at the Art Students League of New York, the Brooklyn Museum Art School, and the Polakov School of Stage Design.
I earned a BFA from Tyler School of Fine Art, and an MA from the University of Wisconsin. While at Tyler I spent a year at their school in Rome, Italy.
I worked in San Francisco as a fashion consultant, then moved to New Jersey - first to Aberdeen, where I worked as a decorative painter; and then to Livingston, where I established the Art Studio in 2003.
At the Art Studio, I taught drawing, painting, and mixed media mosaics - until my move to New Mexico in July 2010. Once there, the Land of Enchantment piqued my creative energy - and I produced a number of mosaic sculptures, wall hangings, jewelry - and other artwork.
